Good morning SHS families,
As we round out the first nine weeks of the Second Semester, we are excited to provide the opportunity for you to conference with your child/ren’s teachers and receive feedback on their progress. Conferences will take place on Tuesday, March 23rd and Wednesday, March 24th between 5:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. on both evenings.
While considerations related to the pandemic are trending in a positive direction, we are facilitating our conferences virtually, just as we did in the fall and how Schoolcraft Elementary is conducting conferences again this spring. Remarkably, when we hosted virtual conferences in the fall, we conducted four times the number of conferences than we had pre-pandemic in 2019. Therefore, we hope that while we miss the opportunity for a face-to-face conversation, the flexibility and convenience of this format will continue the trend of an increased number of conversations.
To reserve your conference slot, please access an editable Google Sheet. You may access the document by clicking here. Each of our teaching staff is listed by their academic department. Additionally, included next to each teacher are the courses they are assigned for the Second Semester. If you would like a video explanation of the sign-up process, please use the video we created to introduce this process by clicking here.
Our staff will be updating grades and have them posted on ParentVue by the morning of Tuesday, March 23rd.
If you are unable to have all of your questions addressed in the conference time allotted, please feel free to contact your child(ren)’s teacher(s) for additional time. While this school year has presented challenges, we have met these as opportunities for how to remain agile and in-tune with your child’s academic and non-academic needs. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help support your child for the remainder of this school year.
We look forward to your virtual attendance at Conferences this year. If we can be of any assistance, do not hesitate to contact the High School Main Office at (269) 488-7350.
With best regards,
Matthew J. Dailey, Principal
