Power Outage Update: SCS Family. Power is out across the village, including at every school. We are awaiting an update from I&M regarding when they expect power to be restored. We may release students after lunch, if the report is that power will be out for an extended time. Please stay tuned for further information. We will make a decision soon. Thanks

SHS Families: Early this afternoon, a four-jurisdiction effort, led by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department, had drug-sniffing dogs conduct scan of all instructional areas, restrooms and lockers, at Schoolcraft High School. During the scan, all high school students, on campus at the time, were supervised in the gymnasium by school personnel. The scan took about 45 minutes. Any locations, or items, identified by the dogs as suspicious, were verified as suspicious by a separate dog, then searched by the administration and local authorities. Special care was used to assure compliance with Board Policy 5771: Search and Seizure: Use of Dogs. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Seager at 488-7360.
