Helpful links for parents of incoming students! Please make sure to complete these forms for your child's enrollment packet:
New student enrollment form; affirmation of prior discipline record; records release; permission to publish; transportation request; student acceptable use policy.
PARENTS AND VISITORS: We are asking all drivers to honor the handicapped parking spaces in front of the Upper Elementary. Please make the spaces available to the drivers who need them and hold a valid handicap permit. Thank you.
From Our Arms to Yours….Safely!
We are continuing to work on our hallway behavior. Safety will remain our top priority. Please continue to wait in the main office hallway for your child. This allows our staff to use every minute available to teach your child without hallway distractions. The extra space near the exit doors is very much needed and appreciated.
Bus Safety
Please do not take your child off the bus at dismissal without the driver’s knowledge. This poses a danger to our students. If your dismissal plans change, stop in the office before the bell and sign out your child. The bus drivers and staff want to ensure all students return home safely. Thank you!
Student Absences
If your child is going to be away from school for any reason, please call the main office (488-7250) by 9:00 a.m. If this absence is due to an illness please provide us with your child’s symptoms or diagnosis (“feels sick” is not acceptable to the Health Department). When your child returns to school, we will need a written excuse that includes the dates absent and the reason for the absence. It must be signed by the student’s parent or guardian. Thank you for your cooperation!
You are Valued!
If you have a question for your child’s teacher, please take the time to email or call after school hours. Arrival and dismissal times are very busy for teachers, where they need to be attending to all of the children in the classroom and in the hallways. They want to be able to give you their undivided attention when you have a concern. Thank you for understanding.
Field Trip Reminder: If you accompany your student on a field trip and would like to take him or her home yourself upon completion of the event you must send in a note prior to the field trip day. It can become quite overwhelming for our staff to remember who’s riding the bus home and who’s leaving with a parent or grandparent. Please be considerate and send in a note to cut down on the confusion. Thanks! |
